Wonderful News

I still need to update the ‘thermometer’, but, with the latest numbers rolling in from McDonalds and our Art Celebration, and a few WONDERFUL contributions through our ‘donate’ button on this site, we have EXCEEDED our fundraising goal for the 2011 – 2012 school year.

Funds roll over to next year, so we’ve already gotten a start on next year.

That’s great news!

Job well done. :)

PTA Meeting This Thursday

Just a reminder that we will have a PTA meeting this Thursday from 6:45 to 8pm at the school.

Spring is full of activities and we need your participation to truly be successful.  Have you been to a PTA meeting lately?

Join us!!

Hope to see you all there!

Thank you, Businesses!

We mentioned to a few businesses that we’d like to host a special week for our amazing SME staff and they said, “How can we help?” They hopped in with our team of parents and offered gifts for our daily raffle, food, desserts, and even little surprises to fill their mailboxes with!

All were local, all were excited to support our school, and we’d love it if your family could return the favor!

We can’t say enough about the generous business owners in our community, and would love to know that SME families are supporting them just as they support us!

Thank You Pizza Eaters!

Hello Wonderful Spring Mountain Families!

As I head off to bed this evening– most likely dreaming of pepperoni and dinging doorbells– I wanted to sincerely thank all of you who participated in the first ever Domino’s Pizza Night for Spring Mountain Elementary!  The first-time fundraiser was a HUGE success, as more than 100 families placed orders during our three-hour time period alone!

Huge thanks to Mark and Jody Pectol, who were so generous in setting up a “tip jar” in the front of the restaurant and donating 20% of all profits to our favorite local elementary school on Masa Lane!  They say tonight ranks as one of the busiest nights of all time at the Sunnyside Domino’s location, and they’ll be happy to present our earnings at a future Hawk Happenings assembly!

After nights like tonight, I have even more appreciation for delivery companies like Domino’s, UPS, FedEx, and even Santa Claus.  With more than 100 orders placed, I simply could not personally deliver every family’s pizza hot from the oven.  I thank you for your understanding, but I also understand there were likely some disappointed Spring Mountain students who ordered pizza but did not see me when they opened their front door.  I sincerely apologize.  If your student needs cheering up, I am certainly willing to make a special small dessert delivery sometime during the upcoming four-day weekend.  Please feel free to e-mail me at longc@nclack.k12.or.us.

Once again, thank you for your unbelievable support of Spring Mountain Elementary.  It is such an honor to work with such tremendous families, and I look forward to seeing all students again Tuesday morning!

OK…I guess it’s now time to change out of my new delivery uniform and head off to doorbell dreamland. Have a great night everyone, and thanks again for making my job so special!

Dominos Night Thursday

Wondering what to cook for dinner this Thursday night (February 16) before the long 4-day weekend? How about a piping hot, delicious Domino’s Pizza delivered right to your door by Mr. Long? That’s right!

I hope you’ll participate in our next fundraising night this Thursday from 4:30-7:30 p.m. If you order pizza from the Domino’s location at 10117 SE Sunnyside Road (next to Plaid Pantry) AND MENTION SPRING MOUNTAIN, Domino’s will donate 20% of every dollar spent back to our school!

I can’t wait for this one, because I actually get to wear a Domino’s uniform and help deliver the pizzas right to your door! Don’t forget to mention Spring Mountain when you place your order!
